Injured West Ham striker Andy Carroll is confident he can make a return to action for the start of next season.
The 26-year-old suffered a knee injury in the Hammers' goalless draw against Southampton in February, but is hoping his hard work in the the gym means his full recovery is just a few weeks away.
Carroll, who recently became a father for the first time, turned down the opportunity to take a summer holiday in an attempt to put in the extra training hours.
