Justin Bieber talks about his New Single "What Do You Mean,"

On Wednesday, July 29, Justin Bieber revealed the title and meaning behind his upcoming single during a visit to On Air With Ryan Seacrest. 

The pop music bad boy, 21, noted that his new single, “What Do You Mean,” would be released on Aug. 28, ahead of his first album in three years. 

When pressed by Seacrest to explain the song’s meaning, Selena Gomez’s ex replied, “Girls are often just flip floppy. They say something and then they mean something else. I mean, I don’t really know. That’s why I’m asking, ‘What do you mean?’”

In addition to explaining his thoughts about the opposite sex, the Biebs also admitted he struggled with his own insecurities. 

“I get in my head a lot, and I get kinda depressed because I want it to work so badly,” he told Seacrest. “I want people to love it. I want to inspire people. Sometimes I feel, ‘Is it good enough? Is this the direction I want to go?’”

As for the Grammy nominee’s upcoming album, Bieber describes it as “really uplifting, clear, pop-y but cool,” noting, “I’m very excited. It’s stressful, but I’m ready.”

Tom Cruise confirms there will be a Mission: Impossible 6 and shooting could start 'next summer'..

There seems to be no stopping this film franchise.

While appearing on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Tuesday evening, Tom Cruise confirmed there will be a Mission: Impossible 6 and it won't take years before filming gets underway.

The 53-year-old remarked, 'We’re starting to work on it now. We’ll probably start shooting it next summer.'

The actor was on the late night show to promote Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation.

Reps for Paramount had no comment, according to Variety.

The other Mission: Impossible films were released in 1996, 2000, 2006 and 2011. Rogue comes out this Friday. The franchise has grossed a combined $2 billion at the worldwide box office. 

Cruise also hinted there could be an Edge Of Tomorrow sequel.

Tom wore a fitted, black long-sleeved button down as he arrived, sporting the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

He coupled the shirt with a pair of fitted black trousers, finishing off the look with shiny, black dress shoes.

In a move reminiscent of another one of the actor's classic films - Top Gun, 1986 - he hid his eyes behind a pair of Aviator sunglasses.

He wore his tousled, brown hair in a center part, with wisps falling onto his face as he leaned over to sign autographs.

Tom was appearing on the show to promote upcoming film Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, which has already been getting great reviews.

Deadline's Pete Hammond gushed, 'I thought it would be hard to top Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, but this franchise just keeps getting better.'

'The latest edition, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is not just the best movie of the summer, it is the best summer movie of the summer, with its smart script and direction from Christopher McQuarrie, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of The Usual Suspects who has a long-standing relationship with star Tom Cruise having penned Valkyrie, Edge Of Tomorrow and Jack Reacher (which he also directed).'

The writer added, 'This fifth go-around for the IMF squad doesn’t just rely on trying to top itself with one outrageous stunt after another like many of these franchises attempt.'

'There are plenty of mind-blowing action sequences here beginning with the James Bond-like pre-credits sequence in which Cruise hangs from a plane as it rolls down the runway and takes off. (That has been much publicized for the fact Cruise did it himself with no green-screen help.)'

'But for me, it is the cat-and-mouse games and verbal sparring that really sets this film apart from others in the genre.' 

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, which also stars Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner, and Rebecca Ferguson, hits theaters on July 31.

Angelina Jolie takes her human rights crusade to Burma: Hollywood star and UN special envoy shakes hands with the president before meeting refugees and political prisoners on south east Asia tour

Angelina Jolie today met the President of Burma as part of a trip to meet high-ranking officials and the victims of a country with a poor human rights record and a history of political unrest.

It's her first visit to the country and is part of a tour of south east Asia in her role as a UN special envoy, promoting human rights, and as part of work to counter sexual violence worldwide.

She was personally invited to the troubled country by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the opposition in the dictatorship, who was put under house arrest by the Government for a total of 15 years. Jolie visit her during the trip.

Angelina said: 'I am looking forward to meeting with many people including women’s groups, civil society, displaced people and youth, to learn firsthand from them about their concerns and hopes for the future of their country.

'With elections on the horizon in November it is an important moment for people to exercise their democratic rights and help to address the fundamental issues critical to a peaceful future.' 

This morning she arrived in the country, also known as Myanmar, and met President Thein Sein and high-ranking members of the military government at the presidential palace.

Sources close to Mrs Jolie Pitt said she used the opportunity to talk about prominent issues in the country, including sexual violence, a lack of transparency and child soldiers.

But she will also be visiting members of the political opposition and will carry out field visits to displaced people in Myanmar’s conflict-affected states.

The source, who has been travelling with the UK special envoy party, said that Burma is one of 130 nations that signed up to an agreement to address sexual violence as part of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative.

Yet it has taken no concrete steps to address the issue and lags behind countries such as Somalia, the Central African Republic and Kosovo, who admit to having problems but are making better progress.

The source says addressing sexual violence is high on her agenda, as she is dedicated to stamping out the use of 'sex as a weapon' in conflicts.

Between now and Saturday, when she leaves Burma, Mrs Jolie Pitt will also visit members of the political opposition, who have been severely oppressed over the years, and refugees.

She will meet local people who are working on human rights and inter-faith relations, and groups carrying out projects to promote women’s rights, voter education and participation ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Human Rights Watch says that the President's Cambodian People's Party has made often violent attempts to silence political opposition and has a history of taking political prisoners.

The Government controls the judiciary which means people have no legal recourse to the oppression, according to Human Rights Watch, and protest has been made illegal.

But it is hoped that Mrs Jolie Pitt's unique status as a non-Government party will help 'shine a light' on the country's problems in a way other organisation's can't.

The source said: 'She will be telling senior figures that they have similar interests, and if they truly want to become a democratic country, the onus is on them to address these problems.

'It is an amazing opportunity to get into Myanmar which not everyone gets so Angelina will be using it to meet as many different groups as she can and try and open a dialogue on these issues.'

Angelina Jolie Pitt has been following the situation in Myanmar closely since her first visit to Myanmar refugees in Thailand in 2002, and many subsequent visits to the region to focus on these issues.

She arrived in Burma from Cambodia, where she was visiting health, education and conservation projects funded by the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation since 2003.

She was beginning preparations to direct the film First They Killed My Father based on a child’s experience of the years of turmoil in the country.

Angelina and husband Brad Pitt adopted their son, Maddox, in 2003. He is originally from Cambodia.

During her visit to the country, she reportedly told reporters Maddox is her son but also 'a son of Cambodia'.

Samsung reports 8 percent drop in 2Q profit

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Samsung Electronics says its quarterly earnings fell 8 percent over a year earlier.

The company said Thursday its April-June net income was 5.8 trillion won ($5 billion), compared with 6.3 trillion won a year earlier. A FactSet survey of analysts predicted 5.6 trillion won of net income.

Sales fell 7 percent to 48.5 trillion won while operating income dropped 4 percent to 6.9 trillion won, in line with its earnings preview earlier this month.

A robust performance at its semiconductor department narrowed a profit decline. But the launch of the latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones, were not enough to reverse its declining fortune in the smartphone industry.

Samsung said the improvement to its phone profit was marginal due to low-volume shipments and high marketing expenses.

Nicki Minaj hits back at ex Safaree Samuels' claims he ghostwrote her lyrics with profanity-laden tirade "You don't have the heart or the mindframe"

Her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels took a dig at her recently with claims that he ghostwrote some of her hits.

And Nicki Minaj did not pull any punches when addressing the comments of her former flame.

The 32-year-old rapper seemingly insulted the intelligence of her ex in a profanity-laden tirade during her concert in Toronto on Tuesday night.

The Anaconda singer could be seen in a few fan-shot videos from the event ending the rant with the biting remark: 'You don't even know how to pronounce these motherf***ing words in my motherf***ing rap, b****.'

Nicki, whose boyfriend Meek Mill is currently embroiled in a war of words with fellow rapper Drake, appeared to be blasting ex Safaree over lyrics in his new song alluding to writing lyrics on a few of her biggest hits.

She said:  'Till this day, I never stopped. See a b**** a** n***** can't write my raps, you know why?

'You don't have the heart or the mindframe or the motherf***ing intellect b**** n****!'

Earlier this week, Safaree went after Nicki in his new song titled Lifeline with claims that he wrote lyrics for her hit album and even went after her new beau.  

In the track, Samuels raps: 'My bars on The Pinkprint no one will ever match'.

Queens-raised Minaj has always adamantly denied claims she doesn't write her own material.

In addition to claiming credit for her lyrics, Samuels raps that Minaj's current boyfriend Meek Mill can never measure up to him in bed.

And he calls Mill fat, rhyming: 'I heard you told Philippe Chow you ain't goin' there ... You outta shape anyway you need to eat a pear.'

Samuels and Minaj grew up together and dated for 14 years before calling off their relationship last year, amid reports of his jealousy over her skyrocketing career.

Minaj moved on and began dating Mill earlier this year, even taking to Twitter to tell fans she was 'in love' with her new man.

The bitter accusations come as Mill is also embroiled in a war of words with rapper Drake over more alleged ghostwriting. 

Mill - who is currently opening for Minaj's Pinkprint Tour - told the crowd at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on Sunday that a song Drake wrote dissing him is 'soft like baby lotion'.  

Drake released his song Charged Up dissing Mill over the weekend, after the Philadelphia-based rapper claimed Drake didn't write the lyrics for a song they collaborated on this year.

Mill said to the audience: 'I was doing my album and I asked (Drake) to give me a verse for my album, but (Drake) gave me a verse that he didn't write that another (person) wrote.'

He added of Drake's diss song: 'I heard that (song), that (song) was very soft, baby lotion soft.'

Mill said last week that Drake did not write his verse for the song R.I.C.O., which appears on his album, Dreams Worth More Than Money.

Drake was not done there as he released a second track addressing the beef with Mill with new song titled Back To Back.

He even references the fact that Mill is currently on Nicki's The Pinkprint World Tour in one of the verses as he raps: 'You love her then you gotta get a world tour. Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? 

'I know that you gotta be a thug for her. This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.'

He also referenced Mill's biting posts on social media after those lines as he said: 'trigger fingers turned to Twitter finger.' 

Drake's album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this month.

'When it comes to this rap (stuff),' Mill said, 'Biggie and Tupac died to be the ... greatest. 

'If you're going to be the greatest ... just make sure you're on your ... pen game and keep it all the way ... 100.'

Minaj was also embroiled in a Twitter fight with singer Taylor Swift last week.

On Tuesday Minaj tweeted her frustration about the music industry after missing out on a Video Of The Year nomination for the MTV Video Music Awards, writing: 'If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year.'

Taylor took this to be a dig at her Bad Blood video, which featured several cameo appearances from her famous female friends, before later tweeting an apology to Minaj for misunderstanding.

Zayn moves on by signing a new deal with RCA Records as he slams One Direction and says he quit to make 'REAL music'

Zayn Malik has signed a new deal with record company RCA Records, but used the announcement to slam his former band, One Direction. 

The 22-year-old singer posted a happy looking photograph of him signing the deal and wrote that he was happy to be doing his own thing from now on. 

'I guess I never explained why I left, it was for this moment to be given the opportunity to show you who i really am! #realmusic #RCA !! ... #REALME (sic)'

It was recently revealed Zayn had been dropped from Simon Cowell's Syco record label, which he was under throughout his time in One Direction - he left the band in March. 

Simon wished Zayn Well after the signing and said on Twitter: 'We have been working on this for a while and I am pleased to say congratulations to @Zaynmalik on signing with @RCARecords.

'I believe they are the perfect label for @ZaynMalik’s solo career and I am sure whatever they release together will be special.' 

A source recently told The Sun: 'It's a big move for Simon because Zayn could have a very successful solo career but his priority absolutely remains the band and this is a big statement on his part.

'Simon has set up a deal that suits Zayn and One Direction. Zayn will stay in the Sony family under a different label and it's totally with Simon Cowell's blessing. 

'It was just felt to be a bit difficult to have 1D and Zayn on the same label - and everyone felt it was better for him to be somewhere different. 

'Since leaving the band, Zayn has changed management and lawyers so it would kind of make sense for him to work with a new label team.'

It's been a rocky six months for the world's biggest boy band, but despite their differences, bandmates old and new came together to mark One Direction's fifth anniversary on Thursday.

Liam Payne was first to take to Twitter to pay tribute to the group five years after they were put together on The X Factor. 

He wrote: 'Wowwwww 5 years 5 boys what an amazing journey I couldn't thank you all ever enough and thank you Louis Niall Harry and zayn for everything.

'Thanks for all the memories boys I love you all.'

While Niall and Harry were also quick to celebrate the milestone on social media, it was only Liam who got a response from a blast from the past - Zayn Malik.

The Bradford-born singerreplied: 'Thanks bro,' followed by a smiley face and a kiss.

Zayn walked away from the band after insisting he wanted to be a 'normal 22-year-old', only to baffle fans by starting work on solo material.

He said at the time: 'My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. 

'I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.'

Meanwhile, he has been involved in a Twitter spat with Louis Tomlinson, who has also brought a scandal to the band's door after it emerged he is reportedly expecting a child with stylist Briana Jungwirth after a brief fling.
